Story telling text: Legend of BATU BANAMA

Hai tmn-tmn q smuaa,,, nah kali ini aq bkalan postingin cerita rakyat kalteng lhooo!!eitss..tapi ada yang beda nih buat postingan kali ini, coba tebak? Yup, kali ini cerita dayaknya dibawa’in dalam english  version alias dalam bahasa inggris. Ya udah deh, daripada lama basa basinyeee yuk Capcuss kita lihat ajee Check it out!

LEGEND of BATU BANAMA

Once upon a time there lived a widow with her son. The widow known as Bawi Kuwu  One day when the boy was playing with his friends, he was hungry  and when home to ate. At home, he found his mother was cooking fried rice. Savory smell cooking, the child cannot wait to eat. He cried and whined to his mother. Bawi Kuwu tried to ignore his whining, but over time her patience ran out. Angrily she swung solet, who accidently hit the boy’s head. The boy was shock and pain, he ran out of the house and he felt that his mother didn’t love him anymore.

Bawi Kuwu was looking for her son, but she could not found him as well. She blamed herself  for having hit her son’s head. Meanwhile, the boy was hiding in the ship which was stopped at the pier the ship come from china. The boy didn’t know that the ship was already finished unloading at the dock. Already, be too late for him to return to his village, when the ship anchored and sailed back to China.

When the ship captain was taking a walk around his ship, he found the boy was hiding behind a crate. The captain then asked to the boy ”Hey little boy, where you come from? And why are you in my boat?” the boy replied with trembling fear “I’m running away from home, lord”.

The captain looked at him with suspicion “Why does your head bleed?” the child replied “Because my mother hit me, so I run away from home and I feel that my mother doesn’t love me anymore” the captain then said “Well, because you may not get back to your village, I allow you to join my ship, but you have to work like the other of my men”.

By the vessel, the child named Killin. Killin grown into a handsome young man and strong. Merchant more dear to him. He treated Killin like his owner son. As adults, Killin was believed to sail neighboring countries to sell their wares. Together with ship captain who found him at first, they sailed from country to country, island to island and from sea to sea. Until they came to a village when Killin had come, on the bank of the river Sebangau.

When they stopped at the village, Killin  was seeing by a lovely lady. Killin immediately felt in love with her. Killin approached the woman and said “Hey little girl, what your name?” the women replied shyly “Bawi Kuwu, sir”. Killin was fascinated by the beauty of the women and said “Will you be my wife?” Bawi Kuwu agreed to marry him.

After marriage, Killin brought Bawi Kuwu to his ship. Before going to sleep, Killin was resting his head on Bawi Kuwu’s lap. Bawi Kuwu stroked Killin’s hair gently. It was then that she saw a discovered scar behind his hair. Bawi Kuwu then asked, “My husband why is there a scar on your head?” Killin replied, “Oh, I wound it can be beaten by my mother with solet, so I ran away from hmoe and I felt that my mother doesn’t love me anymore, fortunately I met a kindly Chinese merchant who taught me to I’m an adult”.

How shocked Bawi Kuwu heard her husband’s story, with a pale face she said “ I am the mother who hit it”. Killin rose angrily “there’s no way she is young and beautifull like you, my mother must have been old and wrinkled” Bawi Kuwu replied “This beauty is a gift from Ranying Hattala” Killin laughed and said “If you say it right let Ranying Hattala to prove it”.

Bawi Kuwu then busted Killin, Killin and his ship immediately turned to be a stone, now we can see that formed like hill that hill known as BATU BANAMA it is at Bukit Tangkiling we can find that on the way to Palangka Raya.

After listen the story, we can get moral value that we should not be emotional and egoistical human, but we must patient with all people.
